Broadcom to lend Anthropic up to $42 billion for chip leases

Anthropic’s IPO prospectus says Broadcom has agreed to provide up to $42 billion in financing tied to a five-year, $125.2 billion lease of Google TPU computing capacity. The arrangement puts Broadcom in the dual role of chip supplier and financing partner, which Anthropic disclosed could create potential conflicts of interest.
